Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Joan Mitchell by Friedrich Kunath was auctioned at Artcurial in July 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of EUR 3,000.00 – 50,000.00, the actual price achieved of EUR 3,600.00 could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Friedrich Kunath achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work My Fault Your Fault in May 2015 with an auction result of USD 118,750.00 (€ 108,013.46).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Joan Mitchell von Friedrich Kunath kam im Juli 2021 bei Artcurial zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von EUR 3.000,00 – 50.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von EUR 3.600,00 konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Friedrich Kunath erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit My Fault Your Fault im Mai 2015 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 118.750,00 (€ 108.013,46).
