Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Age Of Bronze by Friedrich Brentel was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2010. The price achieved of GBP 31,250.00 (€ 37,574.60) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 25,000.00 – 35,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Friedrich Brentel - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Ladies and cavaliers in a ballroom, after Abraham Bosse (Leblanc 771), which sold at auction in January 2000 for USD 101,500.00 (€ 104,027.88).
