Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Hex by Friedel Dzubas was sold in the Expansive Color: American Post Painterly Abstraction auction at Sothebys in New York in October 2021. The price achieved of USD 60,480.00 (€ 52,354.57) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Admittedly, works by Friedel Dzubas have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in November 2018 with an auction result of USD 325,000.00 (€ 287,026.41).
