Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Fredrik Værslev could be acquired at Christies in New York in December 2021 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Image World | Contemporary Art from a Private American Collection auction, the work Untitled (Landscape Gold #3) changed hands for USD 1,250.00 (€ 1,104.44) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Fredrik Værslev achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Untitled (Canopy) in November 2014 with an auction result of USD 317,000.00 (€ 254,864.13).
