Auction result well in line with expectations

The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 18,000.00 – 25,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 18,750.00 (€ 12,765.52) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Frederick Richard Lee - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Rock Of Gibraltar, which sold at auction in December 2009 for GBP 44,450.00 (€ 50,141.16).
