Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2008 Sothebys in New York held the auction Old Master Paintings, which included the work A View Of The Falls Of The Valley Of Desolation, Bolton Abbey, North Yorkshire; A View Of The Upper Falls Of Moness, Aberfeldy, Scotland; A View Of The Middle Falls Of Moness, Aberfeldy, Scotland by Frederick Richard Lee. The price achieved of USD 25,000.00 (€ 15,875.03) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Frederick Richard Lee - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work The Rock Of Gibraltar, which sold at auction in December 2009 for GBP 44,450.00 (€ 50,141.16).

Im Juni 2008 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Old Master Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit A View Of The Falls Of The Valley Of Desolation, Bolton Abbey, North Yorkshire; A View Of The Upper Falls Of Moness, Aberfeldy, Scotland; A View Of The Middle Falls Of Moness, Aberfeldy, Scotland von Frederick Richard Lee zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 25.000,00 (€ 15.875,03) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Frederick Richard Lee mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit The Rock Of Gibraltar beobachtet, die im Dezember 2009 für GBP 44.450,00 (€ 50.141,16) versteigert wurde.
