Auction result well in line with expectations
In July 2007 Sothebys in Olympia held the auction British & Continental Pictures including Sporting and Marine Paintings, which included the work The Old Mill In Devon by Frederick Richard Lee. The price achieved of GBP 1,800.00 (€ 2,673.42) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frederick Richard Lee achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Rock Of Gibraltar in December 2009 with an auction result of GBP 44,450.00 (€ 50,141.16).

Im Juli 2007 führte Sothebys in Olympia die Auktion British & Continental Pictures including Sporting and Marine Paintings durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Old Mill In Devon von Frederick Richard Lee zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.800,00 (€ 2.673,42) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frederick Richard Lee erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Rock Of Gibraltar im Dezember 2009 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 44.450,00 (€ 50.141,16).
