Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The hero of the hour by Frederick Morgan was sold in the 19th Century and British Impressionist Art auction at Bonhams in New York in September this year. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 10,240.00 (€ 10,240.00) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frederick Morgan achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work May I ? in May 2000 with an auction result of USD 974,000.00 (€ 1,044,168.10).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The hero of the hour von Frederick Morgan wurde im September diesen Jahres in der Auktion 19th Century and British Impressionist Art bei Bonhams in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 10.240,00 (€ 10.240,00) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frederick Morgan erzielen.
