Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Frederick Judd Waugh achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in June 2016. In the American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture auction, the work Rum Row sold for USD 32,500.00 (€ 29,459.75) - well above the upper estimate of USD 15,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Frederick Judd Waugh; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Surf And Fog; Monhegan Maine sold at auction in October 2016 with the realized price of USD 50,000.00 (€ 45,612.11).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Frederick Judd Waugh erzielte im Juni 2016 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture wurde die Arbeit Rum Row für USD 32.500,00 (€ 29.459,75) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 15.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Frederick Judd Waugh; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Surf And Fog; Monhegan Maine im Oktober 2016 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 45.612,11).
