Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work A Waterfall by Frederick Judd Waugh was auctioned at Sothebys in London in April 2020. It achieved a price of GBP 9,375.00 (€ 10,784.46), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. Admittedly, works by Frederick Judd Waugh have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Surf And Fog; Monhegan Maine in October 2016 with an auction result of USD 50,000.00 (€ 45,612.11).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit A Waterfall von Frederick Judd Waugh kam im April 2020 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 9.375,00 (€ 10.784,46) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Frederick Judd Waugh auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Surf And Fog; Monhegan Maine im Oktober 2016 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 50.000,00 (€ 45.612,11).
