Auction result misses estimated price range
In April 2012 a collector was able to acquire the work Rocky Coast And Sea by Frederick Judd Waugh for USD 4,375.00 (€ 3,307.13). This price was achieved in the auction American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 5,000.00 – 7,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frederick Judd Waugh achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Surf And Fog; Monhegan Maine in October 2016 with an auction result of USD 50,000.00 (€ 45,612.11).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
