Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 600.00 (€ 878.33) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 500.00 – 800.00. Admittedly, works by Frederick John Widgery have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work River Dart; and Yalmpton Creek, Dart (illustrated) in September 2005 with an auction result of GBP 4,560.00 (€ 6,692.13).
