Auction result misses estimated price range
In February 2007 a collector was able to acquire the work Shepherding the flock down the hill by Frederick Hines for GBP 240.00 (€ 355.79). This price was achieved in the auction British & Continental Watercolours at Christies in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 300.00 – 400.00 set by the auction house. Admittedly, works by Frederick Hines have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Rowing Boat On The Thames in July 2007 with an auction result of GBP 1,200.00 (€ 1,782.28).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Februar 2007 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Shepherding the flock down the hill von Frederick Hines für GBP 240,00 (€ 355,79) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion British & Continental Watercolours bei Christies in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 300,00 – 400,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Frederick Hines auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Rowing Boat On The Thames im Juli 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.200,00 (€ 1.782,28).
