Auction result well in line with expectations
The work In the springtime by Frederick Hines was sold in the British and Victorian Pictures auction at Christies in London in November 2002. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 1,057.50 (€ 1,655.99) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Frederick Hines have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in July 2007 the work Rowing Boat On The Thames was auctioned for GBP 1,200.00 (€ 1,782.28).
