Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Frederick Hines could be acquired at Christies in London in August 2007 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British, Continental & Russian Pictures auction, the work A shepherd and his flock on a wooded path changed hands for GBP 360.00 (€ 532.18) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 400.00 – 600.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Frederick Hines - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Rowing Boat On The Thames, which sold at auction in July 2007 for GBP 1,200.00 (€ 1,782.28).
