Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2004 Christies in London held the auction The Scottish Sale at The Assembly Rooms, Edinburgh, which included the work Edinburgh from Corstorphine by Frederick Henry Henshaw. The price achieved of GBP 2,390.00 (€ 3,439.87) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,000.00 – 3,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Frederick Henry Henshaw - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Kenilworth Castle from Woodhall Road, Warwickshire, which sold at auction in May 2004 for GBP 6,931.00 (€ 10,399.05).
