In July this year Bonhams in London held the auction British and European Art, which included the work The post office by Frederick Goodall. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 3,840.00 (€ 4,480.12), 28% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frederick Goodall achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Trespassers in December 2006 with an auction result of GBP 198,400.00 (€ 294,450.44).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 28 % übertroffen
Im Juli diesen Jahres führte Bonhams in London die Auktion British and European Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The post office von Frederick Goodall zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 3.840,00 (€ 4.480,12) und damit 28% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frederick Goodall erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Trespassers im Dezember 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 198.400,00 (€ 294.450,44).
