Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The village well by Frederick Goodall was sold in the Orientalist Art auction at Bonhams in London in October this year. The price achieved of GBP 3,200.00 (€ 3,674.49) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frederick Goodall achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Trespassers in December 2006 with an auction result of GBP 198,400.00 (€ 294,450.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit The village well von Frederick Goodall wurde im Oktober diesen Jahres in der Auktion Orientalist Art bei Bonhams in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 3.200,00 (€ 3.674,49) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frederick Goodall erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Trespassers im Dezember 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 198.400,00 (€ 294.450,44).
