Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Fruit Seller of Alexandria; and Children of the Copt Quarters by Frederick Goodall was auctioned at Christies in London in December 2018. It changed hands for a price of GBP 1,875.00 (€ 2,088.92) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frederick Goodall achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Trespassers in December 2006 with an auction result of GBP 198,400.00 (€ 294,450.44).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Fruit Seller of Alexandria; and Children of the Copt Quarters von Frederick Goodall kam im Dezember 2018 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 1.875,00 (€ 2.088,92) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frederick Goodall erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Trespassers im Dezember 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 198.400,00 (€ 294.450,44).
