Auction result well in line with expectations

The price achieved of GBP 940.00 (€ 1,536.65) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Frederick Golden Short - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work A Cornish cove, which sold at auction in November 2001 for GBP 1,997.50 (€ 3,178.65).
