Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work At the Waterfall by Frederick Schafer was sold in the American Paintings and Sculpture auction at Christies in New York in October 2000. Here, the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for USD 5,287.50 (€ 6,230.85). However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Frederick Schafer - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Indians on the Warpath, which sold at auction in November 2011 for USD 32,500.00 (€ 24,158.18).

Die Arbeit At the Waterfall von Frederick Schafer wurde im Oktober 2000 in der Auktion American Paintings and Sculpture bei Christies in New York versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für USD 5.287,50 (€ 6.230,85) einen neuen Besitzer.
