This price was achieved in the auction Irish Art at Sothebys in London and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of GBP 12,000.00 many times over. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Frederick Edward McWilliam - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Woodhenge, which sold at auction in June 2018 for GBP 224,750.00 (€ 254,005.80).
