Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2017 Sothebys in London held the auction Irish Art, which included the work Boy by Frederick Edward McWilliam. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 11,250.00 (€ 12,763.27) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frederick Edward McWilliam achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Woodhenge in June 2018 with an auction result of GBP 224,750.00 (€ 254,005.80).
