In November 2013 Christies in London held the auction Victorian, British and Impressionist Art, which included the work The Travelling Musician by Frederick Daniel Hardy. The auction ended at the price of GBP 2,000.00 (€ 2,406.73), which exactly corresponded to the upper end of the estimated price range of GBP 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frederick Daniel Hardy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Festive Treat in November 2000 with an auction result of GBP 37,600.00 (€ 61,455.72).
Zuschlag beim oberen Schätzpreis
Im November 2013 führte Christies in London die Auktion Victorian, British and Impressionist Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Travelling Musician von Frederick Daniel Hardy zur Versteigerung kam. Das dabei erzielte Ergebnis von GBP 2.000,00 (€ 2.406,73) entsprach exakt dem oberen Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frederick Daniel Hardy erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Festive Treat im November 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 37.600,00 (€ 61.455,72).
