Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Frederick Daniel Hardy could be acquired at Christies in London in June 2013 for an unexpectedly low price. In the Victorian, British and Impressionist Art auction, the work The Reading Lesson changed hands for GBP 5,000.00 (€ 5,835.90) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frederick Daniel Hardy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Festive Treat in November 2000 with an auction result of GBP 37,600.00 (€ 61,455.72).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Frederick Daniel Hardy konnte im Juni 2013 bei Christies in London für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Victorian, British and Impressionist Art wechselte die Arbeit The Reading Lesson für GBP 5.000,00 (€ 5.835,90) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frederick Daniel Hardy erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Festive Treat im November 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 37.600,00 (€ 61.455,72).
