It achieved a price of GBP 717.00 (€ 1,061.17), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 43%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frederick Daniel Hardy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Festive Treat in November 2000 with an auction result of GBP 37,600.00 (€ 61,455.72).

Die Arbeit A Letter of Importance von Frederick Daniel Hardy wurde im August 2004 in der Auktion British and Continental Pictures bei Christies in London versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 717,00 (€ 1.061,17) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 43%.
