Auction result well in line with expectations
The work A fireside conversation by Frederick Daniel Hardy was auctioned at Christies in London in September 2003. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,172.50 (€ 3,195.57) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frederick Daniel Hardy achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A Festive Treat in November 2000 with an auction result of GBP 37,600.00 (€ 61,455.72).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit A fireside conversation von Frederick Daniel Hardy kam im September 2003 bei Christies in London zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.172,50 (€ 3.195,57) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frederick Daniel Hardy erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A Festive Treat im November 2000 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 37.600,00 (€ 61.455,72).
