Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2008 Christies in New York held the auction Christie's Interiors, which included the work Welcome Home by Frederick Brown. The price achieved of USD 4,000.00 (€ 2,695.24) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frederick Brown achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work British candidates For Girton in November 2012 with an auction result of USD 83,500.00 (€ 64,181.40).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2008 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Christie's Interiors durch, in der auch die Arbeit Welcome Home von Frederick Brown zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 4.000,00 (€ 2.695,24) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frederick Brown erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit British candidates For Girton im November 2012 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 83.500,00 (€ 64.181,40).
