Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2005 Christies in New York held the auction The House Sale, which included the work Out To Sea by Frederick Schiller Cozzens. It changed hands for a price of USD 1,440.00 (€ 1,114.64) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frederick Schiller Cozzens achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work American yachts, their clubs and races in February 2006 with an auction result of USD 72,000.00 (€ 60,377.36).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2005 führte Christies in New York die Auktion The House Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Out To Sea von Frederick Schiller Cozzens zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 1.440,00 (€ 1.114,64) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frederick Schiller Cozzens erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit American yachts, their clubs and races im Februar 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 72.000,00 (€ 60.377,36).
