Upper estimate price exceeded by more than 100%
This artwork by Frederic Remington achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in March 2021. In the Two Centuries: American Art auction, the work The Mountain Man sold for USD 189,000.00 (€ 160,946.95) - well above the upper estimate of USD 80,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frederic Remington achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Coming Through the Rye in May 2017 with an auction result of USD 11,223,500.00 (€ 9,988,875.04).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Frederic Remington erzielte im März 2021 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Two Centuries: American Art wurde die Arbeit The Mountain Man für USD 189.000,00 (€ 160.946,95) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 80.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frederic Remington erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Coming Through the Rye im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 11.223.500,00 (€ 9.988.875,04).
