In May last year Christies in New York held the auction Stewards of the West: The Knobloch Collection, which included the work The Broncho Buster by Frederic Remington. The »bidding war« ended at USD 655,200.00 (€ 610,567.51), 31% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frederic Remington achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Coming Through the Rye in May 2017 with an auction result of USD 11,223,500.00 (€ 9,988,875.04).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 31 % übertroffen
Im Mai letzten Jahres führte Christies in New York die Auktion Stewards of the West: The Knobloch Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit The Broncho Buster von Frederic Remington zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 655.200,00 (€ 610.567,51) und damit 31% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frederic Remington erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Coming Through the Rye im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 11.223.500,00 (€ 9.988.875,04).
