Auction result well in line with expectations
In October 2020 Christies in New York held the auction The Legend of the West: Iconic Works from the T. Boone Pickens Collection, which included the work "A Limber in Action" by Frederic Remington. The price achieved of USD 47,500.00 (€ 40,783.03) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frederic Remington achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Coming Through the Rye in May 2017 with an auction result of USD 11,223,500.00 (€ 9,988,875.04).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober 2020 führte Christies in New York die Auktion The Legend of the West: Iconic Works from the T. Boone Pickens Collection durch, in der auch die Arbeit "A Limber in Action" von Frederic Remington zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 47.500,00 (€ 40.783,03) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frederic Remington erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Coming Through the Rye im Mai 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 11.223.500,00 (€ 9.988.875,04).
