The roundels show the camp sites of a large group of men. At either side of the work, the artist has shown the men's spears.'

A top price for Fred Ward Tjungurrayi
In December 2019 Sothebys in New York held the auction Aboriginal Art, which included the work Patjanja by Fred Ward Tjungurrayi. The »bidding war« ended at USD 13,125.00 (€ 11,690.57), 31% above the upper estimate. With this result, Patjanja is even the most expensive work of art by Fred Ward Tjungurrayi that we have observed at auctions so far.

Im Dezember 2019 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Aboriginal Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Patjanja von Fred Ward Tjungurrayi zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 13.125,00 (€ 11.690,57) und damit 31% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Mit diesem Ergebnis ist Patjanja sogar das teuerste Kunstwerk von Fred Ward Tjungurrayi, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
