This artwork by Franz Knebel II achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in New York in February 2019. In the 19th Century European Art auction, the work Swiss view Of Tivoli sold for USD 17,500.00 (€ 15,379.21) - well above the upper estimate of USD 10,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Franz Knebel II - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work L'acquedotto Claudio, which sold at auction in May 2008 for EUR 43,040.00.

Dieses Kunstwerk von Franz Knebel II erzielte im Februar 2019 bei Sothebys in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 19th Century European Art wurde die Arbeit Swiss view Of Tivoli für USD 17.500,00 (€ 15.379,21) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 10.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Franz Knebel II mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit L'acquedotto Claudio beobachtet, die im Mai 2008 für EUR 43.040,00 versteigert wurde.
