Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Il tempio di Vesta by Franz Knebel II was sold in the Dipinti e Sculture del XIX e XX Secolo auction at Il Ponte in June last year. It changed hands for a price of EUR 1,900.00 achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of EUR 1,500.00 – 2,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Franz Knebel II achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work L'acquedotto Claudio in May 2008 with an auction result of EUR 43,040.00.
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Il tempio di Vesta von Franz Knebel II wurde im Juni letzten Jahres in der Auktion Dipinti e Sculture del XIX e XX Secolo bei Il Ponte versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von EUR 1.900,00 den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von EUR 1.500,00 – 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Franz Knebel II erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit L'acquedotto Claudio im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 43.040,00.
