Auction result well in line with expectations
In September 2008 Christies in New York held the auction Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture, which included the work Maiden Run of Missippi Railroad from Madison; Union Hotel in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin; Railroad Tunnel with Gate; and Four in Hand Post en Route to California: Four Works by Franz Holzlhuber. The price achieved of USD 5,000.00 (€ 3,550.88) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Admittedly, works by Franz Holzlhuber have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Two Indians at a Listening Post by a Shore; Chippewa Indians on Mackinac Island; Fort Snelling, Minnesota; and Ball Game of Menominee Indians: Four Works in September 2008 with an auction result of USD 23,750.00 (€ 16,866.70).

Im September 2008 führte Christies in New York die Auktion Fine American Paintings, Drawings and Sculpture durch, in der auch die Arbeit Maiden Run of Missippi Railroad from Madison; Union Hotel in Prairie du Chien, Wisconsin; Railroad Tunnel with Gate; and Four in Hand Post en Route to California: Four Works von Franz Holzlhuber zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von USD 5.000,00 (€ 3.550,88) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben worden.
