Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2011 a collector was able to acquire the work Still Life Of Strawberries And A Carnation In A Chinese Wanli Bowl On A Ledge by Frans Snyders for USD 25,000.00 (€ 18,228.22). This price was achieved in the auction Important Old Master Paintings & Sculpture at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 30,000.00 – 40,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frans Snyders achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A larder with a draped table laden with game, a lobster, vegetables and fruit in a basket, and kraak porcelain, with a parrot and two hounds in December 2018 with an auction result of GBP 1,112,750.00 (€ 1,239,702.19).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
