Auction result well in line with expectations
The work "Oud Amsterdam": Houses in an alley with the Lutherse Kerk, Amsterdam, beyond by Frans Slager was auctioned at Christies in Amsterdam in January 2002. The price achieved of EUR 528.75 was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as EUR 450.00 – 700.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frans Slager achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A view of den Bosch with the St. Jan Cathedral in January 2006 with an auction result of EUR 9,000.00.

Die Arbeit "Oud Amsterdam": Houses in an alley with the Lutherse Kerk, Amsterdam, beyond von Frans Slager kam im Januar 2002 bei Christies in Amsterdam zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von EUR 528,75 lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit EUR 450,00 – 700,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frans Slager erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A view of den Bosch with the St. Jan Cathedral im Januar 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 9.000,00.
