Auction result fails to reach estimate
This work of art by Frans Schwartz could be acquired at Bruun Rasmussen in August this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Art on paper auction, the work An elderly bearded man changed hands for DKK 1,050.00 (€ 140.85) - just shy of the DKK 2,000.00 estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frans Schwartz achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work A study for one of the persons in the painting “De kloge og dårlige jomfruer” in July this year with an auction result of DKK 36,000.00 (€ 4,828.31).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt den Schätzpreis
Dieses Kunstwerk von Frans Schwartz konnte im August diesen Jahres bei Bruun Rasmussen für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Art on paper wechselte die Arbeit An elderly bearded man für DKK 1.050,00 (€ 140,85) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit den Schätzpreis von DKK 2.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frans Schwartz erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit A study for one of the persons in the painting “De kloge og dårlige jomfruer” im Juli diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von DKK 36.000,00 (€ 4.828,31).
