This artwork by Frans Jansz. Post achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in July 2007. In the Old Master Paintings Evening auction, the work Landscape In Brazil sold for GBP 714,400.00 (€ 1,061,048.91) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 300,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Frans Jansz. Post; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot The Sugar Mill sold at auction in June 2009 with the realized price of USD 1,706,500.00 (€ 1,217,189.73).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Frans Jansz. Post erzielte im Juli 2007 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Old Master Paintings Evening wurde die Arbeit Landscape In Brazil für GBP 714.400,00 (€ 1.061.048,91) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 300.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Frans Jansz. Post; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit The Sugar Mill im Juni 2009 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 1.706.500,00 (€ 1.217.189,73).
