Auction result misses estimated price range
In January 2020 a collector was able to acquire the work The Holy Family Dining Outdoors While Served By Angels by Frans Francken II for USD 23,750.00 (€ 21,409.90). This price was achieved in the auction Master Paintings & Sculpture Day Sale at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 25,000.00 – 35,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frans Francken II achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Diana and her nymphs in a wooded landscape in December 2019 with an auction result of GBP 395,250.00 (€ 467,139.24).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Januar 2020 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit The Holy Family Dining Outdoors While Served By Angels von Frans Francken II für USD 23.750,00 (€ 21.409,90) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Master Paintings & Sculpture Day Sale bei Sothebys in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 25.000,00 – 35.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frans Francken II erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Diana and her nymphs in a wooded landscape im Dezember 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 395.250,00 (€ 467.139,24).
