Auction result misses estimated price range
In July this year a collector was able to acquire the work Aaron gathering gold from the Israelites by Frans Francken II for GBP 8,820.00 (€ 10,290.27). This price was achieved in the auction Old Masters Part II at Christies and was even below the estimate range of GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frans Francken II achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Diana and her nymphs in a wooded landscape in December 2019 with an auction result of GBP 395,250.00 (€ 467,139.24).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Juli diesen Jahres konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Aaron gathering gold from the Israelites von Frans Francken II für GBP 8.820,00 (€ 10.290,27) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Old Masters Part II bei Christies erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frans Francken II erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Diana and her nymphs in a wooded landscape im Dezember 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 395.250,00 (€ 467.139,24).
