A top price for Franklin Carmichael - as previously expected
In November 2012 Sothebys in Toronto held the auction Important Canadian Art, which included the work Untitled - La Cloche Region Overlooking Bay Of Islands by Franklin Carmichael. The price achieved of CAD 71,500.00 (€ 55,336.93) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as CAD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Even if this result could not surprise positively, Untitled - La Cloche Region Overlooking Bay Of Islands is the most expensive artwork by Franklin Carmichael that we have observed at auctions so far.
