Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2011 Sothebys in Toronto held the auction Important Canadian Art, which included the work Lake And Hills by Franklin Carmichael. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of CAD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00, the actual price achieved of CAD 51,000.00 (€ 36,618.11) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Franklin Carmichael have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2012 the work Untitled - La Cloche Region Overlooking Bay Of Islands was auctioned for CAD 71,500.00 (€ 55,336.93).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2011 führte Sothebys in Toronto die Auktion Important Canadian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lake And Hills von Franklin Carmichael zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von CAD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von CAD 51.000,00 (€ 36.618,11) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Andere Arbeiten von Franklin Carmichael konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im November 2012 die Arbeit Untitled - La Cloche Region Overlooking Bay Of Islands für CAD 71.500,00 (€ 55.336,93) versteigert.
