The price achieved of CAD 65,750.00 (€ 50,886.76) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as CAD 60,000.00 – 80,000.00. Other works by Franklin Carmichael have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in November 2012 the work Untitled - La Cloche Region Overlooking Bay Of Islands was auctioned for CAD 71,500.00 (€ 55,336.93).
