In December 2008 Sothebys in New York held the auction The Sporting Sale: Equestrian, Wildlife & Maritime Art, which included the work American A Bay Horse Outside A Home by Franklin Brooke Voss. The »bidding war« ended at USD 9,375.00 (€ 6,735.40), 34% above the upper estimate. Admittedly, works by Franklin Brooke Voss have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work American The Meadow Brook Hunt in November 2007 with an auction result of USD 55,000.00 (€ 37,445.53).

Im Dezember 2008 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion The Sporting Sale: Equestrian, Wildlife & Maritime Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit American A Bay Horse Outside A Home von Franklin Brooke Voss zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von USD 9.375,00 (€ 6.735,40) und damit 34% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Franklin Brooke Voss auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit American The Meadow Brook Hunt im November 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 55.000,00 (€ 37.445,53).
