The work Torquay, In Glorious Devon. British Railways by Frank Wootton was auctioned at Bonhams in February this year. It achieved a price of GBP 1,912.50 (€ 2,181.46), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 59%. Admittedly, works by Frank Wootton have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Moving Off in June 2013 with an auction result of GBP 7,500.00 (€ 8,753.84).

Die Arbeit Torquay, In Glorious Devon. British Railways von Frank Wootton kam im Februar diesen Jahres bei Bonhams zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von GBP 1.912,50 (€ 2.181,46) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 59%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Frank Wootton auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Moving Off im Juni 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 7.500,00 (€ 8.753,84).
