The price achieved of USD 408.00 (€ 382.95) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as USD 300.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frank Weston Benson achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Reader in November 2016 with an auction result of USD 2,887,500.00 (€ 2,729,722.06).
