Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Hatch Farm by Frank Walton was auctioned at Christies in London in July 2006. The price achieved of GBP 420.00 (€ 614.83) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 300.00 – 500.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frank Walton achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'Fair May, the fairest mayd on ground' in September 2000 with an auction result of GBP 4,112.50 (€ 6,881.47).
