Auction result misses estimated price range
In November 2017 a collector was able to acquire the work Stadt 12/32 (Berlin) 2005 by Frank Thiel for GBP 6,000.00 (€ 6,810.89). This price was achieved in the auction Contemporary Curated at Sothebys in London and was even below the estimate range of GBP 7,000.00 – 9,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Frank Thiel achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work „Die Alliierten“. in November 2019 with an auction result of EUR 112,500.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im November 2017 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Stadt 12/32 (Berlin) 2005 von Frank Thiel für GBP 6.000,00 (€ 6.810,89) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion Contemporary Curated bei Sothebys in London erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 7.000,00 – 9.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Frank Thiel erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit „Die Alliierten“. im November 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 112.500,00.
